A friend of mine sent me a video reviewing the enormous number of immigrants pouring into the US and the stunning amount of money the US government is spending on housing and feeding them. The video highlights how the government is funneling billions of dollars to NGOs who move the immigrants into the country, where they are housed and fed long-term in hotels. The example of a hotel from NYC was given, where some 5,000 illegals are being housed, each being fed by a $35,000 per year budget--just for food. Add in the hotel cost, medical, etc., and that amount could easily double.
The causes of this crisis are multivariate, like so many other problems in the complex modern world. An insistence on single-cause analysis simply empowers the problems to continue, in the same way cutting the head of a hydra does nothing to stop its attack.
One variable is the interest the Chinese have in continuing their decades long asymmetric war against the United States. The purpose is not limited to importing the high number of Chinese soldiers that have obviously been among the recent arrivals. In prior statements, I've explained how a small number of motivated and trained individuals could orchestrate outsized havoc in the United States. The full story is much bigger than the overt combatants.
Investigators report that it costs about $10,000 per person to illegally enter the US through the southern border. Hardly anyone crossing the border has earned that much in a lifetime, let alone managed to save that much. These people are being shipped all expenses paid. But who is paying the bill? Again, the likelihood is that multiple parties are. But let's focus on the Chinese.
What benefit do the Chinese gain by paying $10,000 per person to ship in illegals?
Most of the immigrants in the present wave are not hard working tradesman from economically depressed countries. Many of them aren't even from the western hemisphere. These are single, poor, malnourished-as-children low IQ, no-skills people. Do you realize the lifetime cost of such people given the welfare programs here, let alone in terms of the crimes many will undoubtedly commit, let alone in terms of the burden they will place on the public school system (which many would correctly lump into the "welfare state" referred to previously)?
What is the monetary cost of each of these people? Well, it's much higher than $10,000 per person. In fact, as previously stated, it's likely that they will cost on the order of $100,000 in just their first year here. From a military perspective, that's a 10 fold return in just one year! This is before counting the damage done through inflation, increases in crime, continued degradation of public schools, and so on.
What would it cost to get the same return from a traditional military approach? Estimates vary, but it's said that the US spends about $800,000 for each soldier deployed per year. And what is the average contribution of each of those soldiers? Very, very little.
Chinese leaders are superior to American leaders in their strategy, patience, and cunning. They are gaining immense ground. The changes we would have to make in order to stem this tide are beyond the reaches of our depraved culture, and the inexorable outcome is obvious.
