The next phase of this blog

While this blog has always been public, it has never been written for a general audience. It presupposes specific foundational beliefs. The foundation of most things said here is found in scripture, and the ideas are described in a way that appeals to it (see the banner of this blog: "Explaining the prophecies and the scriptures to all who desire to hear them.") It is odd to me that anyone who does not believe the scriptures would spend their time on this blog, let alone looking for things they don't agree with, of which there are surely many. When I started this blog nearly ten years ago, I did so as a way of organizing my own thoughts--a public study journal of sorts. It has been cathartic to be able to think out loud, and beneficial to hear the feedback of others. . It's never been highly curated writing, and that hasn't been a problem before. I expected that there would be a time when this format would no longer be sufficient, and it seems that time has come. ...

"Weep and wail for what is and what is to come"

On April 22, 2019, the Lord said to me: "I've exposed you to intercession, I've exposed you to the darkness that is present on the earth, and I've exposed you to the desolation that is coming. What have you done about it? While you have passed these things on valiantly to others, you have not made gain on what has been given. You ought to exercise charity for your fellowmen and take up the cross that extends beyond the passing of information to others, and continues into interceding in faith for the benefit of those who walk in the darkness. There is no such thing as a normal day. With the gifts I have given you, every day of your life ought to be full of urgency. You will be held accountable for all the good you could have done. Weep and wail for what is and what is to come." In fulfilling that charge this morning, I was "weep[ing] and wail[ing] for what is and what is to come" and interceding for the men, women, and children of this nation. As part of ...

Imagination and revelation

This doctrine is laid out on this blog.  I won't attempt to restate it, because if I do people will come out of the woodwork stating that I have misrepresented what that person (who desires to remain anonymous) teaches. Does God's word come from your imagination, or from God? Jesus said that everything he taught came from the Father: "...as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things." (John 8:28). If Jesus, the Son of God, was limited in the worth he could provide by what he was given from the Father, who among us can think for a second that what we produce can be good? Jesus said,  4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John 15) We are told plainly that our thoughts are different from God's: 8 For my t...

Eclipses and Little-known Faults

Interesting facts about upcoming eclipse: The shadow will be 70 miles in diameter. The eclipse is the first to be fully contained within the USA. The eclipse will divide the nation in two. The eclipse will trace the 1,700 mile "crack across America" fault. The eclipse will occur 33 days before a once-in-7,000 years Revelation 12 sign. It will happen 2,422 days or 346 weeks or 6.6 years from a second, criss-crossing eclipse. Interesting facts about the 2024 eclipse: It happens on the last day of the year in the Hebrew calendar. It traces through a second large fault running Northeast from the New Madrid seismic zone. It will be 120 miles in diameter. It occurs 10 years after the first blood moon of the 2014-2015 tetrad.

A repost of my excommunication from the LDS church

I was excommunicated from the LDS church in 2015 or thereabouts. The evening after the trial, I wrote my best attempt at recalling the questions I was asked and the answers I provided.  Q: Do you believe that Thomas Monson is the sole mouthpiece of the Lord on the earth today, and if the Lord wants to speak to the world, he will do so through President Monson? A: I believe the Lord can and does speak through whomever he chooses. I do not believe he will only speak through President Monson, and I certainly do not believe that everything President Monson says or does qualifies as God’s word or approved by God. Any who believe that are guilty of idolatry. You would be hard pressed to find a more textbook definition of the word. Q: Do you believe President Monson is a prophet? A: What do you mean by prophet? If you mean a title, I think he has the right to adopt any title he wants, whether it be prophet or grand dragon or whatever else, but that doesn’t necessarily mean any...

The burden of the United Kingdom

The lion languishes in pain, Prostrated in exhaustion. A shadow of his former glory, Shrunken, emaciated and forlorn. His moanings for help, Fall to the ground unanswered. His allies are likewise impotent.
